24 Feb 2025
March Marlins hosted their first Development Meet on the 22nd of February at Manor Leisure in Whittlesey with swimmers competing from clubs in March, Biggleswade, Huntingdon and St Neots.
It was a great opportunity for the swimmers to be brave and start their racing journeys as they strive to build more confidence in the water.
March swimstars competed in 112 races in total and achieved a remarkable 88 PBs. One of the young super swimmers, Beth Staton(aged 9), competed in five races and achieved an impressive 5 personal best times as well as earning five shiny medals. It wasn't just the March swimmers that enjoyed the event with many other clubs expressing their excitement to return to competing again.
As well as the committee members and parents who have repeatedly given up their time to support the event, some older swimmers helped to put on this wonderful race by taking courses to timekeep and providing crucial contributions for the club.
