March swimmers among the medals in Blackpool and Whittlesey

March Marlins' Blue Army attended the COPS season opener at Manor Leisure in Whittlesey.

The weekend showed the physical and mental endurance of the athletes as some competed on both days.

They all displayed exceptional levels of effort and some gained impressive personal bests.

Results

Gold: Dylan Haylock (100 breaststroke);
Silver: Harriet Feaviour (100 freestyle), Dylan Haylock (50 breast, 200 backstroke), Connor Rickard (50, 100, 200 breast), Jude Staton (50 free, 50 butterfly, 100 fly);
Bronze: Samuel Baker (200 back), Harriet Feaviour (50 back), Dylan Haylock (50 breast, 200 back), Niamh O’Donoghue (100 fly), Harry Rickard (50 breast), Jacob Ure (50 Fly 50 back).

Elsewhere, three Marlins swimmers attended the North West Blackpool Polar Bears Regional Swimming Gala.

All of them produced brilliant performances and gained medals to reflect their efforts.

Alice Camplin claimed a gold medal in the 50 backstroke, silver in the 100 Free and bronze in the 100 IM.

Hannah Camplin won golds in the 50 free and 100 back and a silver in the 100 IM.

Annie Gooch scooped a bronze medal in the 100 free.
